Thanksgiving is day we stop and reflect on how thankful we truly are for all our friends and loved ones. This year we were able to have a grand feast, thanks to all our wonderful room parents. You made the children's day a great one! They truly enjoyed spending time with one another, laughing, and of course eating. They created wonderful memories they will cherish forever...

Halloween Fun!

Halloween was a lot of fun! The kiddos shared their treats with each other and put all their goodies in their Cool Cat bag.

Fire Safety Week

This was our first walking trip of the year. It was GREAT! All the kiddos followed the rules, listened carefully, and were very excited about visiting our local fire station. The Firefighters gave us a tour of the site, let us explore the trucks, and modeled safety procedures we should follow in our homes.

Welcome Kinder Families

Welcome families!

This blog is for you to enjoy with your little one and to get a glimpse into our class. It has many educational links that you can use to provide extra-fun support at home. I will be posting pictures, short video clips, and other information that I hope will be helpful and fun.

The kiddos are settling in quite nicely to the class routines and are working very hard. I already see so much growth in many of them. Kinder can be a challenge with all the demands placed on our little ones. Just remember that it does take practice (sometimes lots of practice)! Be patient, provide an area for them to do their homework, check their folder daily for any pertinent information, reminders, and other notifications.

Thank you to all the parents that are providing so much support at home and ensuring that your little one completes their assignments. It is by working as a team that we will be able to help your child reach his or her full potential.

Valentine's Day

We had so much learning, eating sugar, passing out cards to our buddies, and reading lots of books. Thank you parents for all the donations. They made their day that much better. I included some pictures of our day and their favorite books of the day.

Tuvimos un día lleno de aprendizaje, comiendo azúcar, repartiendo tarjetas a nuestros amigos, y leyendo un montón de libros. Gracias a todos los padres por todas las donaciones. Hicieron el día mucho mejor. He incluido algunas fotos de nuestro día y sus libros favoritos del día.

Christmas Fun!

The holidays are here and you can feel the excitement in the air. Our Christmas-Pajama Party was so much fun! The kids got to eat up and open their presents. Our Winter Program was fabulous. The kids sang their little hearts out. I really want to thank all the families for all they do and for helping me make this time extra special for your children.

Remember to have your child do a little bit from their homework package every day. This will make it easier on them. We have lots to do when we get back.

Las vacaciones ya están aquí y se puede sentir la emoción en el aire. Nuestra fiesta de Navidad-Pijama fue muy divertida! Los niños comieron bastante pizza y abrieron sus regalos. Nuestro Programa de Invierno fue fabuloso. Los niños cantaron con todo sus pequeños corazones. Realmente quiero agradecer a todas las familias por todo lo que hacen y por ayudarme a hacer estos momentos más especial para sus hijos.

Recuerden poner a su hijos a hacer un poco de su paquete de tarea todos los días para que no se les haga pesado. Tenemos muchas cosas que hacer cuando regresemos. 

Leer! Leer! Leer!

Que tengan un descanso de invierno maravilloso con todos sus seres queridos y que sus días sean alegres y felices.

Thanksgiving Feast

I want to give a HUGE thank you to all the families for making our Thanksgiving Feast such a wonderful success. The students had so much fun! At one point, the room was so silent, because everyone was very busy eating.

Quiero dar un agradecimiento enorme a todas las familias por hacer que nuestra fiesta de Acción de Gracias fuera un éxito maravilloso. Los estudiantes se divirtieron mucho! En un momento, el salon estaba tan silencioso, porque todo el mundo estaba muy ocupado comiendo.

 

Espero que su Dia de Acción de Gracias también estaba lleno de diversión, risas y muchas bendiciones.

 

 

International Day Extravaganza!

Our last International Day performance finally arrived, and I could not be prouder of all of YOU! It was unbelievable. I am sure your parents loved it. There is so much you have accomplished this year and this was a great way to celebrate. Representing a bit of American cultural, reminded me of the beauty of our diversity and the unlimited ideas we all have to offer. Always give it your all, strive for your personal success, and reach for the stars...

Vascular Plants

We have been learning soooooooooooo much! You guys and gals are doing awesome. Your schema must be bursting at the seams. Remember to review the fluid and nutrients vessels in plants, how it is similar to humans, how it is different, and the importance of both. We will be reviewing further in class and making our flashcards. The test is on October 19th. Take a look at the Calendar TAB for upcoming events and tests.
