End of the Year Picnic
Today was absolutely so much fun for my students. We have a yearly tradition, at the end of the year, of going to the park to BBQ. They get to bring their blankets, techie gadgets, and PE equipment. They lounge, play in the jungle gym, run around, chit-chat galore, eat, eat, and eat, while the teachers (Ms. Flores and I) slave over their every whim. I can't deny I enjoy watching them have a blast. After all the hustle and bustle of the school year, it is very heart-warming to know they will remember the special moments spent with their friends.

My students are so awesome!
My students have been using technology on a more consistent basis this year. A couple weeks ago they did their Biome PowerPoint presentation. I know they felt a little nervous to present in front of their peers and parents. I thought they did wonderfully. Today they presented their 4th Grade Memories PowerPoints to each other. They were so touching, unique, and very cute. Their personalities really shined through, and we all got to "see" a little bit of their individuality.
My STUDENTS really rock!

International Day Performance
Today was the big day to dance Bachata. The students had been anticipating the grand day when they could dance for their parents and families. They did a wonderful job and they had a lot of fun doing it. It was another memorable day for them. Thank you, to all the parents for bringing them ready and prepared, as well as to Ms. Soria and Mr. Montejano for all they did to make sure it was a great success! :)

The Experts Present!
Wow! I was so impressed with my students' presentations. This was their
1st PowerPoint presentations, and they did wonderful. They had detailed
accurate information with appropriate photos to match the text. It is unbelievable how far my students have come. They really take their learning very seriously and are able to meet the goals set for them. We all have room for growth, areas that need to be refined, but I know they will only get better. I cannot even begin to imagine all they will be able to do later in their educational careers. I am only so glad to be a part of it.
Thank you to all the parents who came in support of your child. I hope you enjoyed their presentations. They really wanted to impress you.

Zoo Time!
Today we were at the Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens. The new animal lair is unbelievable. The students really enjoyed themselves observing the animals in their "natural" habitats. It was a great learning experience for them, they were able to make many connections, and they related back to all we have been learning. For one of my students, it was his first time ever at the zoo.:0 I am glad they all got to experience it in their own way.
