17 More Days!

17 More Days!

The year is winding down...17 more days to be exact, but we are still working and learning new content. I wanted to give everyone an update on any events that are coming up as well as what we're still learning. First, mark these dates on the calendar:

May 30th: Los Angeles Zoo field trip- 8:30-2:00 students should pack a lunch, wear cool comfortable clothing and shoes. Kids can bring a camera to take pictures with their friends!

May 28th: Memorial Day- No School                              

June 1st: International Day Festival @ 8:30 am -12:15 dismissal
June 8th: 12:15 Dismissal


June 19: Last Day of School! -Dismissal is @ 12:15  


Here's what we're working on in the classroom:

Reading: We are reading about the different biomes and its organisms. Our final spelling test will also be next week and will be the 3rd school assessment.

Math: We are reviewing many areas and beginning to cover some 5th grade concepts for next year.

Science: Students have been working on a research project that is due this Friday, May 25th. No late projects will be accepted. the presentations' schedule was sent home with your child. See you there!

Writing: We are finishing up on our visitors' biographies and will be working on end of the year virtual memory book (powerpoint).
